Through my education, my travels and my work with international relief organizations I have had the opportunity to meet and learn about mothers from all over the world. I've sat in mud huts and market places, on tree stumps and woven chairs, learning firsthand about the struggles mothers living in poverty face every day. Through each conversation, however, it was easy to see that, despite her troubles, each mother had something of infinite importance to offer her children every day -- her love and devotion. Mamas Around the World was created to honor these women by sharing a glimpse into their inspirational lives -- their trials, their triumphs and their love. We also share easy ways to get involved and to make a difference in the lives of women and girls throughout the world.
